Privacy policy

Effective October 20, 2026. Last updated October 20, 2026.

Short version

  • You can use this site without giving us any personal or health information. There are no accounts. The only form is the optional newsletter signup.
  • We never sell personal information, and we don't share anything about you with any provider, including Aspen Home Health, the Medicare agency our owner currently owns. The only form on the site is the optional newsletter signup (see Newsletter below). If we ever add a way to ask us to connect you with a provider or service, we'll update this policy before it goes live.
  • This site doesn't use advertising pixels or third-party trackers, and the newsletter form loads nothing from beehiiv; our server passes your signup to beehiiv directly. HomeCareFinder sets no cookies.
  • Search runs in your browser using public files; your search terms are not sent to a HomeCareFinder server. The care quiz runs entirely in your browser; your answers are not sent or saved.

What we collect

  • Newsletter signup. Your email address, your state if you choose one, the signup date and that you signed up on our site. For each email we send, beehiiv records whether it was opened and which links were clicked.
  • Emails you send us. Your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you.
  • Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, under its own privacy policy. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor isn't a bot. Our own server code doesn't record your IP address or browser details; for a newsletter signup, it logs only whether the signup worked, never your email address.
  • Your state for cost figures. To show costs for your state, Cloudflare tells our page which U.S. state your connection appears to come from. We don't store it. If you pick a state yourself, that choice is saved only in your browser (local storage), and you can change it any time.
  • Aggregate counts. Our server may count page views by page type, state and city (taken from the page address); clicks on our buttons and links by which button was clicked; visits that arrive from AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini or Copilot (recognized only from the referring site's name or a utm_source tag); visits from search and AI crawlers (recognized by the crawler's name); and requests to our data files, API and MCP endpoint, by type. We keep only daily totals. We don't store IP addresses, full browser or user-agent strings, full referring addresses, cookies or any identifier, so the totals can't be tied to a person. Totals are kept about 13 months. We may share these totals, never anything about an individual, with sponsors and partners to describe our audience.

We don't ask for health information, Medicare numbers or diagnoses, and we don't knowingly collect sensitive personal data. Please don't send us any.

Newsletter

If you sign up, we collect your email address and, only if you choose one, your state, plus the date and that you signed up on our site. We use them only to send our newsletter (and, with your state, to pick which state's costs to mention). Our email service, beehiiv, Inc., stores your address and sends the emails for us under its own privacy policy (beehiiv.com/privacy). Signup is double opt-in: you get a confirmation email and aren't subscribed until you click its link. Like most email services, beehiiv records whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. Every email has an unsubscribe link; you can also ask us to delete your address at the contact email below. We keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We never sell it, never share it with any care provider (including Aspen Home Health), and don't use it for advertising on other sites. Don't send us health information; the form doesn't ask for any.

Who we share it with

  • beehiiv, Inc. stores newsletter addresses and sends the newsletter for us.
  • Cloudflare hosts and secures the site.
  • The service that hosts our contact inbox receives the emails you send us.
  • We may disclose information if the law requires it (for example, a valid subpoena) or to protect the site or its users from fraud or abuse.
  • If HomeCareFinder is ever sold or transferred, the newsletter list would move to the new owner and stay covered by this policy unless subscribers are told otherwise first.

We never sell personal information, we don't use it for targeted advertising, and we don't share anything about you with any care provider. We don't give personal information to other companies for their own marketing.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We don't track you across other websites, sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, so the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal; there is nothing extra for it to switch off.

Your choices and rights

Anyone, wherever they live, can ask us to:

  • tell them whether we hold personal information about them, and give them a copy;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • stop the newsletter (every email also has an unsubscribe link).

Email bigg+homecarefinder@mail.grokbot.com with "Privacy" in the subject, from the address the request is about, so we can confirm it's you. We'll answer within 45 days. If we turn down a request, you can appeal by replying with "Appeal" in the subject; we'll answer within 60 days and explain why. If you're still not satisfied, Texas residents can contact the Texas Attorney General. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Some state privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act and the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, apply only to businesses above certain sizes or exempt small businesses. Whether or not a given law applies to us, we offer the choices above to everyone.

How long we keep it

Newsletter addresses: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Emails you send us: as long as we need them to answer you and keep a record of the conversation. Aggregate counts: about 13 months. Cloudflare keeps its technical data under its own policy.

Security

The site uses HTTPS, and we collect as little as we can. No system is perfectly secure.

Children

This site is for adults looking into senior care and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has signed up for the newsletter, email us and we'll delete it.

New features

If we add any other feature that collects information, such as a text line or a way to ask us to connect you with a provider, we will update this policy before it goes live and collect only what's needed.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change would let us use newsletter addresses in a new way, we'll email subscribers before it applies to them.
